There is an unconsecrated grave in a remote part of Dartmoor which legend has it is the final resting place of Kitty Jay who was raped by an abusive land-owner and then released from service when she became pregnant. Destitute and without a penny to her name she eventually committed suicide. This is my interpretation of the vile fellow, no doubt a staunch Christian and pillar of society. His face and hands are now flesh tone as I felt the blue colouring in his cold ugly features didn’t work as well as I hoped.
History hasn’t recorded the man’s name, so I thought I’d record him for posterity.
